Hatred and power centric politics. This is rampant in this country called India..Thus people centric politics is a mirage.. The latest example of this is Congress party's five guarantees. Congress had given five guarantees in the last assembly elections..These were schemes related to hunger and poverty of the poor. Schemes for economic empowerment of those below the poverty line.. Free bus travel scheme for women has already been implemented in these schemes.. Rest of the schemes need to be implemented. Among these, Anna Bhagya Yojana has a problem.. It is related to the availability of rice.. Normally the central government collects the food grains from the farmers and stocks them.. Its stock is in the Food Corporation of India..
After the unprecedented victory of the Congress in the state, the new government went ahead with the implementation of the schemes. In the first cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, in-principle approval was given for the implementation of the five guarantees.. Shakti Yojana was also implemented immediately.. But there was an initial hurdle in the implementation of Anna Bhagya Yojana.. Food Corporation of India wrote a letter on the 11th to provide rice to the state.. another letter in one day. The written food corporation washed its hands of not being able to provide rice. Then the state government started chanting that it was Raghavendra who could not find a way. But the state government did not sit idly by. It connected many states including Telangana, Punjab, Chhattisgarh. It was the intention of the state government that rice should be imported at least from these states. This effort did not bear fruit. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah sought out Union Home Minister Amit Shah and held talks. He requested to give rice. This also did not help. Food Minister Muniyappa met the Union Food Minister. Even this visit was not ready. He kept Muniyappa for three days and then gave him an interview. Muniappa said give rice. The Union Minister said it is not possible.. Muniappa returned empty handed as if there was no toll on the way he came.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi began publicly criticizing the guarantees. BJP state leaders started pressuring them to fulfill the guarantees. He announced that he would hold a protest demanding the fulfillment of the guarantees.. Former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa warned that he would stage a sit-in in the assembly. The media started playing a side instrument to the tune of the BJP and started attacking the Congress government.
Is BJP for or against guarantees? The answer to this question is confusing.. Prime Minister Modi had made it clear that he was against the guarantees.. So the announcement and warning that the state leaders will fight if the guarantees are not implemented is not against Modi's stand? Is the state BJP against Modi's stand? These questions arise. But there is BJP's politics behind the declaration.
The success of these guarantees means the defeat of Modi's BJP dharma politics.. This may affect the upcoming Lok Sabha elections as well. For that, it should be ensured that this plan is not implemented. The Congress government could not successfully implement these guarantees for any reason. Once the guarantees are successfully implemented in Karnataka, the Congress will get a new weapon. This guarantee weapon can be successfully used in the upcoming Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana elections too.. And people can start thinking about guarantees in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections too.. Then the question of hunger, poverty is an election issue? Then religion politics will lose its existence. Then the ideas like Hijab Halal Hindutva Hindu Bharat, Pakistan treason etc will cease to exist. BJP will not have any weapons to fight. For that, the central level leaders have declared war against the guarantees. State leaders are blocking the plan by demanding implementation of Congress guarantees, which means BJP is blocking the implementation of guarantees.
In the meantime, the Congress government of the state has decided to temporarily give money instead of rice.. and will continue to try to get rice from other states. Similarly, the state is also thinking of buying rice by inviting tenders.
Will Modi and his BJP team win in this? Or whether the Congress will win, it is not possible to say now.
